Aztec Astronomy offers a book containing correlations between the 13 Aztec constellations and over 36 modern constellations comprising more than 400 stars. There is also a section illustrating 12 monthly maps of astronomy- modern maps side-by-side with maps containing full-color, codex icons superimposed over the modern constellations. The last section is an appendix of the codex pages from which the Aztec icons are taken.


How can I order a book?

At the moment, we are going through the final editing process and awaiting copyright permission for the modern astronomy maps. Final editing will be complete by April 15, 2017. Books should be at the printers by the beginning of May 2017. Only a limited printing will take place and pre-orders are being accepted. To pre-order a copy, send an email with your name, mailing address and email address to contact@aztecastronomy.com.


Are presentations or lessons available?

Yes, we are in the process of setting up an LMS [Learning Management System] on this website. The author is also available for presentations. Send an email expressing interest in attending lessons or contracting the author for a presentation to the email address above.


Where is the author from?

Fernando Arturo Rodriguez is of Dominican and Mexican descent. Mr. Rodriguez was born in Chicago, attended university in Michigan and then moved to Mexico in 2002. He spends time between Ciudad Juarez and near Toluca, Mexico.
