Citlal Colotl & Mictlantecuhtli as Modern Constellations

The scorpion constellation, or Citlal Colotl, and also representing one of the lords of death, can be assigned several modern constellations to form one of the larger Aztec constellations. In the valley of Mexico, the season of scorpions coincides with the beginning of warm weather, culminating with peak activity during the hottest months of June, July and August. Is it just a coincidence that the scorpion constellation features prominently in the sky during this time as well?
